A study in Andhra Pradesh evaluated different ways of growing pigeonpea with other crops. They found that growing pigeonpea with cowpea in a 1:5 ratio gave the best results. This combination produced the highest yield and used rainwater efficiently. It also brought in the most profit compared to other combinations. Overall, growing pigeonpea with cowpea was the most effective way to increase crop yield and make more money from the land.
