Somodo watershed holds potential to meet water demands for the future.
The goal of the study was to figure out how much water is available in the Somodo watershed. The researchers used GPS, GIS, and special software to collect data like maps and weather information. They found that surface runoff and base flow are the most important factors for water flow in the area. The model they used showed that the watershed produces 56.75 million cubic meters of surface water each year, which is enough to meet the water needs of the area.
