Incorporating crop residue boosts soybean-wheat system productivity and profitability in Rajasthan.
A study in Rajasthan looked at how different irrigation, residue management, and nutrient practices affect soybean-wheat cropping. Using 2 irrigations in soybean and incorporating wheat residue with urea and microbes led to higher yields and profits. This approach also improved soil health and water use efficiency. Overall, this method increased productivity and profitability of the soybean-wheat system in Vertisols of Rajasthan.
