Unlocking Indonesia's SMEs Potential: How Institutions Drive International Business Expansion.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia are looking to expand internationally to compete with firms from developed countries. This study explores how formal and informal institutions in Indonesia affect SMEs' internationalization. By analyzing government policies and conducting interviews with SME owners, the study found that most Indonesian SMEs have not gone global due to gaps in institutional support. The research highlights the importance of government assistance and institutional factors in helping SMEs succeed in international markets.
