The researchers developed a method to classify volcanic rocks in the eastern depression of Liaohe oil field with high accuracy. They used machine learning algorithms and logging data to identify different types of igneous rocks. By comparing their results with core and debris data, they achieved a classification accuracy of 97.46%.
