Radiant cooling systems are more energy-efficient and provide better comfort than traditional systems, but they struggle with humidity control. To address this, a Personalized Conditioning System (PCS) was developed to create a comfortable micro-climate around the occupant. The study tested PCS with radiant cooling in a cubicle for heating and cooling. Results showed that PCS alone met comfort standards with low energy use, and combining PCS with radiant cooling saved 38% energy compared to conventional air conditioning. This shows that PCS is a promising advancement for improving thermal comfort.
