The researchers studied how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer affect the growth and yield of a rice variety called BRRI dhan28. They found that higher nitrogen levels led to better leaf growth and crop growth rate. The plants treated with the most nitrogen produced the highest grain yield. The nitrogen use efficiency was highest at a moderate nitrogen level. Overall, using 250 kg of nitrogen per hectare resulted in the best growth and yield for BRRI dhan28 rice plants.
