Shocking Water Quality in Ujjain City Raises Health Concerns
Groundwater quality in Ujjain City, India was assessed using a Water Quality Index (WQI). Samples from 54 wards were collected and analyzed for various parameters. Results showed that during summer, 4% of samples had excellent water quality, 53% were good, 39% were poor, and 4% were very poor (unfit for drinking). Treatment technologies are recommended to improve water quality for drinking purposes.
