Long-term tobacco planting can make soil more acidic. A 10-year study tested different fertilizers on tobacco soil. Organic fertilizers reduced soil acidity and aluminum levels, while chemical fertilizers increased them. Organic fertilizers also boosted soil nutrients and carbon levels. Overall, organic-inorganic compound fertilizers were best for improving soil quality.
