Solar energy is a great renewable energy source that can be turned into electricity using solar panels. New materials like Perovskite and Multijunction solar cells show promise for more efficient and cost-effective solar power in the future. Other materials like Dye-sensitized and Organic photovoltaics are still being developed. Despite progress, some materials are not efficient enough yet. Overall, research is ongoing to find materials that can compete with silicon in making solar cells.
