Turbidity Timing Breakthrough Ensures Clean Drinking Water for Millions
The study looked at when to measure water clarity to get accurate results. They tested different levels of dirtiness in river water and found that for very dirty water, the best time to measure is within 5 minutes. For medium and low levels of dirtiness, the best time is within 10 minutes. They also figured out the right amount of a chemical called alum to use for each level of dirtiness.
