Global Climate Action Could Slash Emissions by Two-Thirds by 2030
A global plan with short-term policies followed by carbon pricing can help close the gap between countries' emission goals and what's needed for the Paris Agreement. By 2030, these policies could cut two-thirds of the emissions gap and put us on track for the 2°C goal by 2050. The plan includes more renewable energy, using electricity more, making energy use more efficient, and planting more trees. Acting early with these policies is cheaper than waiting to tackle climate change.
