New Apple Varieties Found to Have Sweeter and More Flavorful Taste
The study analyzed the sugar and acid contents of 30 different types of apples grown in a dry area. They found that fructose was the most common sugar in apple fruits, with 'gala' having the highest amount. Most apples had more sucrose than glucose. Malic acid was the main organic acid in apples, with 'Hanfu' having the highest amount. Some apples, like 'World No1', 'Golden Delicious', and 'Gala', were sweeter than others due to their sugar and acid levels.
