The article explores the connection between teamwork and patient safety in a hospital in Cyprus. Health professionals' perceptions of teamwork and safety climate were assessed after a quality assurance system was implemented. The study found that while teamwork was rated positively, the safety climate received lower scores. Women tended to rate safety climate more positively than men, and older participants reported higher teamwork scores. Additionally, university graduates rated teamwork more positively than those with a master's degree. The results suggest a need to improve the safety climate and continue promoting teamwork for better outcomes in patient care.
