Researchers studied different maize hybrids to improve grain yield, protein, and oil content. They found that one hybrid, B-QPM-117x B-QPM-128, showed a significant increase in grain yield compared to the standard variety DHM-105. Another hybrid, B-QPM-114x B-QPM-118, had the highest positive heterosis for oil content. Overall, five hybrids performed well in terms of grain yield, and three hybrids showed promise for protein content improvement.
