Effective pandemic prevention boosts community resilience, study finds.
The study looked at community resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic in Shanghai, Wuhan, and Chengdu. They found that communities with better communication and connections had higher resilience. Effective pandemic prevention measures also boosted resilience, with Shanghai scoring highest. Active participation in disaster reduction activities and volunteer groups also increased resilience. The study suggests that post-pandemic, communities should focus on building resilience through community-based frameworks.
