Standing desks can help office workers sit less at work for a long time. A study looked at whether sitting less at work continued 12-24 months after using standing desks. While sitting time increased slightly over time, it stayed significantly lower than before (23.5% decrease). People with standing desks didn't move more overall, but they still sat less at work. So, using a standing desk can help office workers sit less at work for a long time.
