Greenhouse gas emissions on track to devastate climate by 2030
This report looks at how countries are working to cut down on the gases causing climate change. They studied 30 big countries to see what they are doing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Despite some progress, these countries are not on track to meet the Paris Agreement goals by 2030. The world needs to lower emissions by 7.6% each year, but the current efforts are falling short. If things stay as they are now, emissions in these countries will go up by around 0.4% every year until 2030. Overall, more needs to be done to avoid the worst effects of climate change.
