Revolutionizing Soybean Farming: Boosting Yields with Integrated Nutrient Management!
The study aimed to improve soybean yield by testing different combinations of fertilizer, vermicompost, and rhizobium bacteria. The researchers found that using 2 tons of vermicompost per hectare with 75 kg of fertilizer per hectare led to the highest number of nodules on soybean plants. Additionally, combining 2 tons of vermicompost with 100 kg of fertilizer per hectare resulted in the highest aboveground biomass. The best combination for seed yield and harvest index was 100 kg of fertilizer per hectare with 2 tons of vermicompost per hectare, along with rhizobium inoculation. This integrated approach produced a yield of 3870 kg per hectare, showing promise for improving soybean production in Ethiopia.
