New Cowpea Genotypes Promise Higher Yields and Stability in Ethiopia.
The study looked at different types of cowpea plants in Ethiopia to see how they grow in different environments. They found that the environment, the type of plant, and how they interact had a big impact on how much grain the plants produced. Two types of cowpea plants, G24 and G16, were the best at producing a lot of grain consistently across different environments. These findings can help farmers choose the best cowpea plants to grow for a good harvest.
