Revolutionizing rice-wheat farming for higher yields and healthier soil!
Researchers studied how to improve rice and wheat yields by using a target yield equation-based approach for nutrient management. By combining chemical fertilizers and organic sources like farmyard manure, they were able to achieve 97.2% of the target yield for rice and 94% for wheat. The integrated nutrient management method resulted in higher yields for both crops compared to using only chemical fertilizers. It also improved soil health and nutrient balance, leading to better crop productivity. This study shows that using target yield equations for nutrient management can help farmers increase grain yields while keeping the soil healthy.
