New air-conditioning refrigerants are being developed to meet international regulations for reducing Global Warming Potential (GWP). These refrigerants by Koura offer similar cooling capacity as R-410A but with improved energy efficiency and a GWP of 300 or lower. The researchers tested the properties and performance of these refrigerants through modeling and practical testing in systems. Initial results show compatibility with lubricants and materials.
