Intellectual Capital Boosts Bank Value, Leverage Hinders - Study Shows
The study analyzed how intellectual capital, good corporate governance, profitability, and leverage affect firm value in the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2018. The researchers found that intellectual capital, board of commissioners, and leverage significantly influence firm value. Specifically, intellectual capital has a big impact on firm value, while institutional ownership and profitability do not have a significant effect. Companies in the banking sector should pay more attention to intellectual capital, board of commissioners, and leverage to enhance their value.
