Learning analytics is about analyzing data to improve learning. This article suggests looking at learning analytics from a design science perspective. The researchers created new tools called artefacts to help with this. They tested these tools with students studying customer relationship management in a cloud computing environment and found them to be helpful in describing analytics better. This approach offers benefits for using learning analytics and expands the tools available for research in this area.
