Optimizing Potassium & Sulphur Boosts Nutrient Uptake in Summer Groundnut
The study looked at how adding potassium and sulphur affects the nutrient levels in groundnut plants grown in sandy loam soil. The researchers found that applying 45 kg of potassium per hectare resulted in the highest uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and sulphur by the groundnut plants. Additionally, applying 40 kg of sulphur per hectare led to similar nutrient uptake levels as applying 20 kg of sulphur per hectare. This suggests that adding potassium and sulphur to the soil can improve the availability and uptake of essential nutrients by groundnut plants during the summer season.
