Size matters: Larger watersheds lead to higher river discharge
The study looked at two rivers in Bengkulu, Indonesia, to see how their size and shape affect how much water flows through them. They found that the Rindu Hati River has more water flowing through it each month than the Susup River because it has a larger area. This means that the Rindu Hati River can hold more rainwater because it covers a bigger area compared to the Susup River.
