Procrastination linked to lower quality of life in university students.
Procrastination is common among university students and can affect their academic success and overall well-being. A study was done with over 1000 students from different fields to see how much they procrastinate and what factors are related to it. The results showed that students who procrastinate more tend to be more impulsive and perfectionistic, and they also tend to have lower life satisfaction and self-esteem. This suggests that counseling services focusing on procrastination could be helpful for university students.
