The researchers used digital mapping to predict soil texture classes in a floodplain. They found that curvature parameters of the slope shape were the most important in predicting soil texture. The accuracy of the predictions was around 64% for the training set and 48% for the test set. This digital soil map can help farmers manage their crops effectively in the floodplain.
