Optimized fertilizer use boosts bread wheat production in Southwestern Ethiopia.
A study in Southwestern Ethiopia aimed to find the best fertilizer recommendation for growing bread wheat. Different levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium were tested, along with foliar applications. The results showed that using 23N20P (kg ha -1 ) fertilizers led to the highest economic net benefit and efficient fertilizer use. This combination resulted in a higher yield compared to other treatments, making it the recommended choice for areas with similar soil conditions.
