Farmyard manure and zinc fertilizer boost wheat zinc content for healthier grains.
The study looked at how adding farmyard manure (FYM) and zinc fertilizer to soil affects the zinc content in wheat plants. They did an experiment using different levels of FYM and zinc fertilizer on wheat grown in pots. The results showed that using FYM and zinc fertilizer increased the amount of zinc taken up by the wheat plants. The best combination was 0 t/ha FYM with 5 ppm zinc, which gave the highest zinc content in the wheat grains. Adding 15t/ha FYM with 10 ppm zinc also increased the zinc content in the wheat grains significantly. Overall, adding FYM and zinc fertilizer can improve the zinc content in wheat plants and help maintain healthy soil quality.
