Study reveals how to cut cooling energy waste in workshops by 50%
The study looked at how to reduce cooling energy use in a mechanical workshop by analyzing the cooling load. They used a computer simulation program called TRNSYS to model the workshop's cooling needs. The results showed that most of the cooling load came from heat entering through the windows, making up over half of the total load. By adjusting the room temperature settings, the researchers were able to cut the cooling load by 42.2%. This suggests that simple changes in how the air conditioning system is used can significantly reduce energy waste in the workshop.
