The study looked at how environmental accounting can help manufacturing companies in East Java improve their environmental performance and contribute to sustainable development. By analyzing data from 125 companies, the researchers found that proper management of environmental accounting can lead to better environmental performance. This improvement is driven by companies following government regulations and meeting consumer demands for environmentally-friendly products. Environmental accounting also plays a role in sustainable development by showing a company's commitment to environmental responsibility. Overall, companies can enhance their image and performance by implementing environmentally-friendly practices to reduce pollution and waste.
