Negligence in Construction Projects Leads to Poor Quality Structures and Maintenance Issues
Quality assurance is crucial in construction projects to ensure buildings are safe and durable. A study in the National Capital Region analyzed 30 projects to assess factors affecting construction quality. They found that negligence and lack of knowledge can lead to poor quality and maintenance issues. The study categorized projects as Excellent, Good, Average, or Poor in Quality Grading based on client commitment, material quality, work practices, and personnel. It revealed a need for better training and awareness in the construction industry to strengthen quality management. The study suggests more research is needed in different regions to address environmental factors impacting construction quality.
