Beaches are eroding due to climate change, causing concern for coastal protection. A study used a model to analyze beach vulnerability to storm waves. They created a function based on wave height and compared it to real beach data. The model showed similar results to actual observations, especially in high wave conditions. By analyzing wave factors, they developed a formula to estimate the beach buffer needed to prevent coastal damage.
