Market Waste Compost Boosts Sweet Corn Growth and Quality Dramatically
The study looked at using different types of organic waste to make compost for growing sweet corn. Compost made from filter cake, market organic-waste, and water hyacinth had good quality. Market waste compost helped sweet corn seeds grow faster and taller compared to other compost types. Using market waste compost also led to sweeter corn. Overall, using organic waste for compost can improve germination, growth, and quality of sweet corn.
