A hybrid control system was developed for a 2-mode hybrid electric vehicle to improve fuel efficiency. By combining an internal combustion engine with electric motors, the vehicle can operate in two different modes for better fuel economy at low and high speeds. This approach aims to reduce petroleum energy consumption in automotive transportation, which currently accounts for over 71% of global energy use.
