New tool helps cities plan for water resilience in face of disasters.
The City Water Resilience Framework (CWRF) is a new tool to help cities plan for and improve their water systems in the face of challenges like floods and droughts. It was created with input from experts and tested in cities like Cape Town and Greater Miami. The framework focuses on four key areas: infrastructure and ecosystems, health and wellbeing, planning and finance, and leadership and strategy. By using CWRF, cities can make better decisions about their water systems to become more resilient in the face of water-related issues.
