The article reviews laws and policies related to women's land rights in Ethiopia and six other countries. It looks at how these countries recognize women's land rights and the barriers women face in accessing these rights. The review also examines existing land tenure systems, institutional frameworks, and interventions to improve women's land rights. In Niger, customary land tenure systems are not formally recognized by statutory law.
