Newly Discovered Plant Species Offers Hope for Endangered Ecosystems in Tibet
A new plant species called Euphorbia motuogensis was discovered in Tibet, China. It looks very similar to another plant called Euphorbia sikkimensis but has distinct differences like hairy stems, different leaf colors, and unique glands. Scientists used genetic analysis to confirm that Euphorbia motuogensis is indeed a separate species. This means we now know there is a new kind of plant growing in Tibet!
