Polluted Lake Transformed: Sewage Upgrades and Ecological Restoration Revive Water Quality
The water quality in Lake G was improved by reducing pollution from sewage treatment plants and non-point sources. The HSPE and EFDC models were used to predict changes in water quality and guide the improvement project. By implementing measures like reducing discharge at the sewage treatment plant and restoring the ecological river, the water quality is expected to improve significantly. This will help reduce algae growth and enhance the overall water quality of Lake G.
