Iraq's Climate Shift: Rising Temperatures, Decreasing Humidity, and Changing Dew Points
The study looked at how air temperature, dew point, and relative humidity change in Iraq from 1988 to 2018. They found that when air temperature and dew point are close, humidity is high. In July and August, temperature and dew were highest with low humidity. In December and January, humidity was highest with lower temperature and dew. Humidity changes when temperature changes, being higher in the morning when it's cooler. The highest temperature was in Basra in July 2017, and the highest humidity was in Mosul in January 2014. These changes are influenced by weather and geography.
