Mixing organic waste with reed and cow manure boosts biogas production
The researchers studied how mixing organic garbage, reed, and cow manure in different ratios affects biogas production. They found that a mix of 1 part reed, 0.5 parts organic garbage, and 1.5 parts cow manure produced the most biogas. This combination had the best gas production efficiency, with a fermentation period of 37 days, reaching a maximum daily gas production of 3.2 liters per day. The amount of gas produced per unit of total solids was 361.88 mL/g, and per unit of volatile solids was 411.22 mL/g.
