Universities can now measure and offset their carbon footprint with new CO2UNV tool
A tool called CO2UNV was made to help universities figure out how much carbon dioxide they release into the air. This tool can calculate the different kinds of emissions a university makes - like direct, electricity-related, and other indirect ones. It can also show the changes in emissions over time and even how much was offset by supporting projects. The tool was tested at a university in Spain, the Universitat Jaume I. They found that CO2UNV can accurately size up a university's carbon footprint and help take steps to reduce it.
