The researchers used hydroacoustic technology to estimate the abundance and distribution of zooplankton in Sembilang National Park. They found that zooplankton density ranged from 106 to 1911 individuals per cubic meter, with spatial distribution from estuary waters to Alagantang waters. The abundance of zooplankton measured with a net had a 63% effect on the abundance measured acoustically, showing a strong positive relationship.
