Farmers Boost Rapeseed Yields by Optimizing Sowing Dates and Plant Densities
The study looked at how different planting dates and plant densities affect the yield and quality of a specific type of rapeseed. They found that as plant density increased, certain factors like plant height and seed number per pod decreased. The best results were seen with a planting date of September 15th and a plant density of 135,000 plants per hectare. The number of pods per unit area and seed number per pod were the most important factors for rapeseed yield.
