Climate conditions impact Lanelate oranges' flower bud differentiation process.
The study looked at how Lanelate oranges develop their flower buds. They found that the process takes about five months, starting in November and ending in March. The initial stages and sepal differentiation took the longest. The most floral primordia formed in late December to early January when the temperature was around 10 ℃. Sepal primordia formed the most in late January when the temperature was around 1.4 ℃. When the temperature was above 11.23 ℃, Lanelate started forming petals, stamens, and pistils in February to March.
