New Rice Varieties Boost Yields and Quality, Revolutionizing Agriculture
The study looked at the yield of super early and later rice compared to control varieties. They found that both super early and later rice had higher yields than the control varieties. The early rice yield was closely linked to spikelets per panicle and filled grain percentage, while the later rice yield was linked to effective panicle and spikelets per panicle. Productive tiller percentage was positively correlated with yield for both types of rice. More developed spikelets in super early and later rice were due to more differentiation spikelets, not lower abortion rates.
