Innovative Stormwater Solutions Could Prevent Flooding and Habitat Degradation
Stormwater runoff can cause problems like flooding and pollution. Traditional methods of managing stormwater can make these issues worse. New ways of managing stormwater on-site can help by letting water soak into the ground and reducing pollution. A study used a decision-making model called Value-Focused Thinking to compare different stormwater management options. The best options were a grassed swale, infiltration basin, and wet detention. This method helped find the most effective solution to the problem.
