Rainfall Triggers Mudstone Slope Collapses, Threatening Roadside Stability.
The study looked at how rainfall affects the stability of a mudstone slope in Pohang, South Korea. Researchers analyzed the slope's failure and conducted tests to measure rock durability and soil permeability. They used computer programs to simulate different rainfall scenarios and studied how the slope's stability changed. The findings show that heavy rainfall can weaken the slope and increase the risk of collapse.
