Anxiety Disorders Reclassified, Childhood Struggles Recognized in New DSM-IV
The American Psychiatric Association made changes to the classification of mental disorders in the DSM-IV Options Book to improve clarity and align with the ICD-10. They also recommended including Phonological Disorder and Elective Mutism in the Speech and Language Disorders section.
